This sculpture captures a charming and unexpected moment from rural life in earlier times. In farming communities, raising pigs was common, and when a sow needed to breed, a breeder would be called to bring a male pig for the job.

In this scene, an old man walks with a light step, humming a folk tune as he leads the breeding pig to a customer’s home. The man’s cheerful energy is unmistakable, but the pig appears far less enthusiastic. With a slow gait and a reluctant expression, it moves reluctantly forward, perhaps just worn out from a long week.
