In the early days of Taipei’s Yanping North Road, nightlife thrived in roadside eateries and taverns. Singers moved from bar to night market, trading their voices for a warm meal or a few coins.

For these performers, it was never about being heard. The crowd just wanted noise, something to liven the atmosphere. No one cared how well they sang. This sculpture captures that fleeting moment in time, filled with quiet struggle, resilience, and the rhythm of life on the streets.
