Generations of Love

In early agricultural Taiwan, parents often left home before sunrise to work in the fields, leaving grandparents to care for the youngest children. Grandmothers, affectionate and patient, allowed a level of freedom that strict parents did not. For many children, this made them the most beloved figures in the home.

This sculpture captures a quiet moment of connection. A grandmother mends clothing while her grandson threads the needle for her. Their simple, focused teamwork reflects the warmth, trust, and understanding shared between generations. It is a tribute to love that is passed down through everyday gestures.
